Coming soon between Oasis and Chinese Food, Camino Al Puerto.  I had a chance to speak with Eric Thomas today about how this sandwich shop came about.  Eric Thomas, his brother Vance Thomas and his wife Blanca Agrait recognized a niche for food in the off hours.  After a long day at the beach you are ready to eat at 4p, but have to wait until 6p for restaurants to open.  They put their minds together with Gail Bock and other family members and decided to give Eric the task of finding a location and creating such an establishment.  This was a perfect way for Eric to put his newly obtained knowledge to work from his business management degree.  Eric sees an opportunity to give back to the kids of Culebra what he was given while learning and working at Mamacitas.  He intends on using this establishment as an internship program for juniors and seniors at the high school.  The projected opening is Easter in three weeks.  They plan to have hours of 5a – 9p on weekdays and 5a – 11p on weekends.  Serving sandwiches, chicken, chili, soups, ribs, burgers, dogs and a pizza machine.  Pizza will only be served during daytime hours so as not to conflict with Oasis pizza.  Eric would like to thank Billy Thomas and his crew for the construction and Gail Bock for all of her support.  This will be a nice addition to Culebra!  More to come as they get ready to open.
